Andhra Bank is a medium-sized public sector bank (PSB), with a network of 1,632 branches, 25 extension counters, 38 satellite offices and 981 automated teller machines (ATMs) as on March 31, 2011. Andhra Bank was founded by the eminent freedom fighter, Dr. Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya. The Government of India owns 51.55% of its share capital and is going to increase it to 58% by infusing 1100 crore. The state owned Life Insurance Corporation of India holds 10% of the shares. The bank has done a total business of Rs. 1,64,310 crore as on 31.03.2011. The bank's operations are mostly concentrated in southern India; the region accounts for over 60% of the bank’s advances and deposits.

Andhra Bank invites applications for the Clerical Cadre posts, from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011-12 and have a valid Score card issued by IBPS.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India OR ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of
 Bhutan  OR
iv)a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention
 of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated
 from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the
United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire,
 Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that
 a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in
whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted
to the Group Discussion/ Interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection
the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India
 has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.

Educational qualifications required for this job is Graduation in any discipline from any recognized University.

Essential Requirement

IBPS Score obtained in CWE for Clerks 2011-12 (as stipulated above) Candidates should have appeared for Common Written Examination for Clerks held in Nov/Dec 2011 from a center in a State/UT for which vacancies he/she wishes to apply Candidate should have proficiency in the official language of the State/UT (ability to read, write and speak local/state language) in which they have appeared for the Common Written Examination and qualified.

Computer Knowledge is essential (proficiency in MS Office Basic Applications).

Candidate should be willing to be initially posted at any place in that State/Union Territory in which they have appeared for CWE and serve for a minimum period of 5 years in that State/Union Territory.

Note:

1. Degrees obtained from the recognized Universities/Institutes recognized by the Govt. of India
only will be considered.
2. The educational qualification prescribed for the post is the minimum.
3. Candidates must specifically indicate the class/division and percentage of marks obtained
calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant column of the application. Where no
percentage of marks is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same
should be converted into percentage.
4. The result of the qualifying examination, i.e., graduation or equivalent to graduation, as the case
may be, should have been announced by the University on or before 01.08.2011.
5. Candidates should have obtained the specified IBPS Score in each test and/ in aggregate in the
Common Written Examination conducted for Clerical cadre in 2011-12. Candidates should be
able to produce the Score card in support of the scores mentioned in the online application form,
if called for further selection processes such as Group Discussion and/ Interview.

Relaxation in Upper age limit:

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates -- 5 years
Other Backward Classes candidates -- 3 years
Persons with Disabilities (VI/HI/OC) -- 10 years
Persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980
and 31.12.1989 --5 years

Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex Servicemen -- actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 year

GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION:

OPTION-I: PAYMENT OF FEE (OFFLINE):
i) Candidates should first scan their photograph and signature as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature.
ii) Candidates to visit Bank’s website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in and open the appropriate Online Application Format.
iii) Fill the application carefully. In the event of the candidate not able to fill the data in one go, he can save the data already entered. When the data is saved, registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the registration number and password. Email & SMS indicating the Registration number and Password will be sent. They can reopen the saved data using registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. This facility will be available for three times only. Once the application is filled complete, candidate should submit the data. Candidates to take a printout of the system generated fee payment challan immediately. No change/ edit will be allowed thereafter. The registration at this stage is provisional.
iv) Fee Payment: Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of State Bank of India. System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee. (For example: If one has registered on 12.01.2012, then he/she will be able to deposit the fee from 14th to 17th January, 2012, considering 15th is a non- working day). Once fee paid, the registration process is completed.
v) Candidate will receive registration confirmation by SMS/e-mail after two working days from the date of payment of fees. Please ensure to furnish correct Mobile number / e-mail address to receive the registration confirmation.
Note: There is also a provision to reprint the submitted application containing fee
details, after three days of fee payment

Age Limit: Candidates must have completed the minimum age of 18 years and must have not completed the maximum age of 39 years as on 01/07/2012. In case of SC/ST Candidates maximum age limit shall be 44 years and Physically Challenged candidates shall be 49 years

Educational Qualification:
I. School Assistants: Candidates must posses Bachelors Degree & B.Ed Degree in concerned subject, also having APTET pass certificate/Memorandum of Marks.

II. SGT: Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, AP or Any other & D.Ed Certificate, also having APTET pass certificate/Memorandum of Marks.

III. Language Pandit: Must posses Bachelors Degree & B.Ed Degree in concerned subject, also having APTET pass certificate/Memorandum of Marks.

IV. PET: Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or equivalent & U.G.D.P.Ed. or Bachelor’s Degree and a B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed recognized by NCTE..

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs-250/- towards application processing and Teachers Recruitment Test for each post through APONLINE or e-seva centers between 16/02/2012 to 16/03/2012.

Selection Process: Candidates shall be selected on the basis of combined marks secured in the Written Test (80%) and TET (20%) in all categories of posts except PET for which selection shall be on the basis of written test (100%) only.
